Binance won’t support privacy tokens in Poland, France, and Italy

Crypto exchange giant Binance said that users in Poland, France, and Italy will no longer be able to trade privacy tokens on its platforms.

No more privacy coins for users in selected European countries

According to reports, Binance sent an email to users in Poland, France, and Italy, notifying them that the platform will halt trading for 12 privacy coins in compliance with local regulatory policies in the aforementioned countries.

The privacy coins to be delisted are zcash (ZEC), monero(XMR), decred (DCR), horizen (ZEN), verge (XVG), dash (DASH), secret (SCRT), firo (FRO), navcoin (NAV), PIVX (PIVX), mobilecoin (MOB) and BEAM (BEAM). The delisting will take effect from June 26, 2023.

Binance received a digital asset service provider (DASP) registration in France and Italy in May 2022 and obtained approval from Poland in January 2023 to operate in the country.

As previously reported by crypto.news, the crypto exchange hired Richard Teng to head Binance’s regional markets outside of the United States.
