Bitget Reveals Its Card Plans at Dubai’s Future Blockchain Summit

At the event, the Managing Director of Bitget Gracy Chen delivered a speech titled “Top Crypto Opportunities in Q4 2023 and Beyond” where she provided insights into the goals Bitget aims to pursue in the crypto industry.

Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget is taking part in the Future Blockchain Summit being held in Dubai from October 15 to October 18. The participation marks the company’s expansion into the Middle East region announced earlier this year. During the event, the company revealed its plans to launch a Bitget Card – a premium crypto-backed credit card that serves as a crypto payment solution.

At the event, the Managing Director of Bitget Gracy Chen delivered a speech titled “Top Crypto Opportunities in Q4 2023 and Beyond” where she provided insights into the goals Bitget aims to pursue in the crypto industry.

Firstly, Bitget is going to launch a Bitget Card that will enable users to easily convert their cryptocurrencies into fiat currency and use it as a payment method at any merchant that accepts traditional debit or credit cards. Integrated with the Bitget platform, the card will offer users direct access to their Bitget trading accounts and wallets, allowing them to control their assets. According to Bitget, the card will be easy and convenient to use. Besides, features like cashback rewards on eligible purchases, competitive foreign exchange rates for international transactions, and advanced security measures to protect against fraud and unauthorized access will further enhance users’ experience. Notably, the company expects the card to be accepted in 180 countries.

Secondly, Bitget is considering opportunities that might be opened due to the collaborative potential between Web3 and AI technologies. Earlier, the exchange announced a rebranding initiative for “intuitive, secure, and efficient tools for a more manageable financial future”. Within the rebrand, Bitget announced new AI-powered tools and features that reflect its new vision.

Further, Gracy Chen spoke on the role of AI in upcoming Web 3.0 technologies. She highlighted the significance of Telegram bots in the crypto ecosystem and said that there is great potential for Bitget collaboration due to Telegram’s extensive user base of nearly 800 million monthly active users.

Bitget’s Expansion in the Middle East

Bitget’s participation in Dubai’s Future Blockchain Summit is a significant milestone for the company. The summit is the most immersive large-scale blockchain event that brings together over 10,000+ of the foremost blockchain and tech professionals, business leaders, change-makers, entrepreneurs, and senior practitioners for unparalleled discovery and insights alongside key top businesses and blockchain startups from across the world.

Earlier this year, Bitget unveiled its expansion plans into the Middle East region.

Gracy Chn stated at that time:

“We hope to scale our Middle East team rapidly to support business growth, with between 30 to 60 hires over the next 2 years or more across the Middle East region. New team members will include various mid-office and back-office functions. We may consider selecting Dubai as an operational hub for the Middle East market. This move is not just about business, it is about our core values, which rest on advancing blockchain and crypto adoption worldwide.”

The company has opened an office in Dubai and is exploring license applications to operate in Middle Eastern markets.
