Binance Unveils Winning Design of Pierre Gasly’s Helmet for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Along with its collaborative commitment to encouraging creativity and engaging fans, Binance, in partnership with Gasly, offered users and fans the exclusive Pierre Gasly Experience.

Binance, the leading global blockchain ecosystem announced the triumphant design for the helmet of BWT Alpine F1 Team driver Pierre Gasly at the upcoming Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26, 2023.

The design competition, open to Binance users and F1 enthusiasts worldwide, encouraged participants to showcase their creativity by submitting helmet designs between August 23 and September 8, 2023. The judging panel, consisting of Pierre Gasly and his team, sought designs reflecting Binance’s values, resonating with its innovative spirit.

Besides, the designs also aligned with the campaign’s goal of fostering connections in the motorsport community. The global response witnessed over 700 submissions from participants spanning 140 countries within the F1 and also the cryptocurrency communities.

The winning helmet design, drawing inspiration from the Binance brand and Pierre Gasly’s legacy, features a vibrant pink color to stand out under the night track lights and includes a dedicated script paying homage to Arabic culture. The contest’s winner will also get a replica of the helmet, personally autographed by Pierre Gasly. In a press release, Pierre Gasly said:

“This design truly encapsulates my partnership with Binance, and my profound connection to my fans and this race in particular. This community-focused contest and partnership has allowed me to feel even closer to my fan base. Seeing all the creative submissions from our passionate community makes me more exhilarated, and I’m humbled by their incredible energy and passion which I’m excited to channel to the race.”

Taking Inspiration from Binance’s Brand Identity

The victorious designer elaborated on the inspiration for the winning helmet design, incorporating Binance’s brand colors of black and yellow as the primary palette. The designer chose the glossy surface finish to evoke a golden aesthetic reminiscent of Arabic culture, with additional Arabic calligraphy enhancing the sides. Taking into account the night setting of the race, the designer also introduced a contrasting vibrant pink color from another sponsor to ensure the helmet stands out distinctly under the nighttime lights.

This experience also included race weekend hospitality, a personal meeting with Gasly, and autographed mini-helmets, enhancing the connection between the cryptocurrency platform and racing enthusiasts.
