OKX wallet and ontology bridge merge for web3

On May 18, 2023, the web3 technology firm OKX, the second-largest cryptocurrency platform in terms of trading volume, issued a statement, a development for the cryptocurrency community.

OKX Wallet, a self-custodial and decentralized wallet solution driven by advanced multi-party computation (MPC) technology, has struck an agreement with Ontology Bridge.

This partnership will allow both companies to share resources and expertise. Through this partnership, the accessibility of the web3 ecosystem is going to undergo a fundamental transformation.

What’s in it for users?

OKX Wallet will be able to interact easily with Ontology Bridge.

This cross-chain gateway is notable for allowing the movement of crypto assets seamlessly across the Ethereum and Ontology networks. Because of this connection, users can easily connect to Ontology Bridge using the OKX Wallet plug-in and the Discover Portal it provides.

Users will now have the ability to transfer ONG tokens or bridge their WING, ONT, pETH, pWBTC, pUSDT, and pUSDC tokens from Ontology to Ontology Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) thanks to this integration

Users will also be able to experience the ease of doing so. Users further increase the number of alternatives available to them inside the web3 ecosystem when they use the solution provided by Token Bridge, which gives them a different route to engage in EVM applications.

The MPC technology allows users to continue exercising self-custody while engaging fluidly and smoothly with decentralized apps (dApps) that span different chains, reducing the need to transfer wallets consistently.

Within the context of the web3 ecosystem, this all-encompassing ecology delivers consumers an experience that is rich and varied.
