Gaming Ecosystem Razer Unveils zVentures Web3 Incubator to Invest in Early Startups

The zVentures Web3 Incubator (ZW3I) program will select developers who possess a strong track record in creating successful games.

Razer Inc, an American-Singaporean multinational technology company that manufactures and distributes gaming hardware, has announced the launch of the zVentures Web3 Incubator (ZW3I) program. According to the company, the zVentures Web3 Incubator program will tap into early gaming blockchain startups and fund them in their Seed and Series A rounds. Despite being a computer gaming company, Razer officials have announced mobile gaming developers will not be left behind.

As a global leading lifestyle brand for gamers with over 150 million users, Razer offers significant value to startups through the ZW3I program. In addition to providing capital support, the company has promised to provide its rich portfolio of companies access to its extensive global network of suppliers, OEMs, customers, and investors. Furthermore, the selected Web3 startup can interact with Razer’s in-house experts, like-minded founders, and influencers.

As a result, the company has called on interested Web3 gaming startups to apply for support by pitching directly to the ZW3I team. Moreover, the ZW3I program aims to help the Web3 gaming industry access mainstream adoption through veteran investors.

According to the company’s Director of Blockchain, Lawrence Lin, the zVentures Web3 Incubator (ZW3I) program will select developers who possess a strong track record in creating successful games. Lin added that the zVentures Web3 Incubator (ZW3I) program will focus on 36 gaming projects.

“Presently, numerous blockchain games prioritize the use of blockchain technology over creating an engaging and entertaining gameplay experience, leading to a dearth of player attraction and retention. We believe that the foundation of any successful game (be it Web2 or Web3) is immersive and engaging gameplay,” Lin noted.

Razer and the Web3 Gaming Industry

Founded in 1998, Razer has developed cutting-edge gaming products including laptops, tablets, and PC peripherals such as mice, audio devices, keyboards, mouse mats, and gamepads. The company has also released a gaming-focused software Razer Comms. In a bid to ensure future growth sustainability, the company has invested in Web3 gaming firm Animoca Brands, Finblox, and Coinomo.

With zVentures, which was launched in 2026 with $30 million, Razer anticipates narrowing down into the Web3 gaming industry. Over the years, the company has widened its investment in gaming projects to further increase its portfolio. Moreover, the gaming industry has grown to a billion-dollar industry through blockchain technology.

According to market data provided by Coingecko, the GameFi industry has a total market capitalization of approximately $10.8 billion with a total trading volume of about $1,024,693,023. With crypto market adoption on the cusp of mainstream adoption, the GameFi industry is well positioned to open up hundreds of billions in valuation.
