Users can now use Core Mobile to stake AVAX and participate in network consensus on Avalanche, earning rewards.

In a press release shared exclusively with crypto.news, Core Mobile is the smartphone version of the popular Core wallet application.

Available on the Google Play and iOS App Store, Core Mobile allows users to explore blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Avalanche. The wallet also supports decentralized finance (defi) and staking native assets.

This setup is convenient and easy, allowing users to keep tabs on staking progress on the go.

Exploring Core

To stake on Avalanche, users must download and set up the Core Mobile wallet on their phone.

After creating an account and adding a secondary authentication method, it is necessary to have at least 25 AVAX in the wallet and some extra for network fees.

In case of funding the wallet from a centralized exchange, choose the C-Chain address displayed within the Core app.

Once the deposit has been credited, the user can start mobile staking.

Staking AVAX via Core Mobile

When staking AVAX, choosing a wallet with a good user interface that supports the Avalanche blockchain network is essential. Core Mobile offers an option to stake AVAX in just a few simple steps.

First, users must select the amount of AVAX they wish to stake in the Staking section of the app and then choose the minimum staking duration, starting at 14 days. Users who want to maximize their rewards can stake for longer. During this time, they won’t withdraw their staked AVAX until the lock period elapses.

Core Mobile has an automated system to select a node for staking on behalf of users. However, users also have the option to manually choose a node by selecting “Advanced Setup.”

After selecting their preferred staking options, users can review a summary of their choices before finalizing their staking by clicking on “Stake Now.” With Core Mobile, users can conveniently track their staking progress and view the rewards they have earned, all within the app.
