Harvey Weinstein Gets Royal Honor Stripped, I Hope Prince Andrew Is Next

  • Harvey Weinstein has finally been stripped of his royal title.
  • Queen Elizabeth has officially decreed that the disgraced Hollywood producer has been stripped of his honorary Commander of the Civil Division (CBE), which he initially received in 2004.
  • We can only hope that Prince Andrew is next to have his royal titles stripped.

Harvey Weinstein no longer has a royal title.

In an official announcement, Queen Elizabeth officially decreed that the disgraced Hollywood producer — along with eight other men — are to have their royal titles stripped.

We can only hope that Prince Andrew is next in line.

Better Late Than Never When It Comes To Harvey Weinstein

When Harvey Weinstein received his CBE  in 2004, he was on top of the world. The success of “The Crying Game” led to Weinstein and his brother, Bob, receiving an $80 million check from Disney to purchase Miramax, their production company. “Pulp Fiction” and “Clerks” were hits for the Weinstein brothers, and they had numerous Academy Awards under their belt thanks to films like “The English Patient” and “Shakespeare in Love.”

But, as we would all later learn, it was a different story behind closed doors. While Queen Elizabeth was bestowing a CBE on Harvey Weinstein, his first sexual assault allegations were being buried by the likes of Matt Damon and Russell Crowe. And while Damon and Crowe both went on to deny the allegations, the point remains that women were speaking out about Weinstein all the way back in 2004…and no one was listening.

In fact, they were honoring him when they should have marginalized him.

But now, in a move that can only be described as “better late than never,” Queen Elizabeth has finally stripped Weinstein of his undeserving title.

THE QUEEN has directed that the appointment of Harvey WEINSTEIN to be an Honorary Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, dated 29 January 2004, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.

Will Prince Andrew be next?

Prince Andrew Deserves To Be Stripped Of His Title

We went over this time and again, but it bears repeating: if anyone deserves to have his royal titles stripped, it’s Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.

The Harvey Weinstein case proved that what we see during a reckoning only scratches the surface of these predations. More to the point: there are actual photographs of Prince Andrew in compromising positions with young girls that have literally no defense.

Remember this messy interview?

If that isn’t worthy of a royal title being stripped, nothing is.
