Ex US Congressman Ron Paul to Share the Stage as Keynote Speaker at Litecoin Summit 2019

Ron Paul, a Former U.S. Congressman and three-time presidential candidate has been called upon to share the stage as the keynote speaker during Litecoin Summit 2019.

The surprise announcement came from a tweet by the Litecoin Foundation. He was invited to the podium by Litecoin (LTC)trade creator Charlie Lee, who has in the past spoken positively about the former Congressman’s commitment to let cryptocurrency operate seamlessly in the United States.

Paul is an avid advocate for cryptocurrency and has supported the adoption of Bitcoin(BTC)trade for many years. At times he has even attacked the fiscal policies of the United States to make a case for cryptocurrency. More recently, he has attacked the Federal Reserve for impeding the adoption of the digital currencies.

In one of his recent interviews, Paul mentioned that he favored the idea of competitive digital currencies and vehemently opposed the U.S. government’s burgeoning bid to control digital currencies. He cautioned that he did not know what will happen once cryptocurrencies are allowed to fully function in the region, but he agreed that in theory, digital currencies had a lot to offer and there was little reason to object to their adoption.

More Crypto Celebrities to Attend

This year’s Litecoin Summit is different in many ways; it has something to offer to everyone. A lot of crypto celebrities will be attending the much-anticipated summit. Ron Paul himself will share the stage with Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin and Anthony Pompalino, co-founder & partner at Morgan Creek Digital.

Tim Draper, a billionaire investor, who is considered one of the most ardent supporters of cryptocurrencies in the country, will also be joining the stage to speak about the future of the digital currencies and share his insights as an assets manager and investor. Other prominent names who will be participating in the event include Mati Greenspan, a Senior Market Analyst at eToro and Nicholas Merten, founder of DataDash, one of the largest YouTube channels for cryptocurrencies.

The two-day conference will begin on October 28th. Participants are expected to discuss the socio-political challenges that digital currencies are currently facing.

2019 has been a hard year for many altcoins. With unstinting investigation impeding the prospects of Facebook’s Libra and recent price declines in the values of Bitcoin and Litecoin and many other virtual currencies, crypto advocates have a lot to worry for and are looking forward to use the podium to discuss these issues.
